I'm most looking forward to Lars Von Trier's "Antichrist." Quite polarizing at Cannes from what I can gather, and the trailer looks terrifying.
Anything that Von Trier does is worth looking at, and this is obviously no exception to the rule. I think this looks like the best thing the director's done since DANCER IN THE DARK, though one can never tell until one sees the whole thing. I have more solid faith in Haneke, actually; his movies are never for all (like Von Trier's), but ALWAYS are definitely for some (UNlike VT). They're never laff-fests, but they're always unforgettable. A year where both have movies coming out (like DANCER and PIANO TEACHER in 2001) is very much worth looking forward to, in a strange way.
