The Best Female Supporting Performances in Cinema

The following is an aggregation of what I've determined to be the film world's greatest FEMALE SUPPORTING performances spanning the years 1930-2016. This is part of my ongoing Years in Review project. 785 performances are noted here. With each year, they are listed in order of preference. Those in bold, in the first half of this piece, are those that were awarded the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award. In the second half of the article (where the bolded names are the actresses I personally chose), I collect a list of the actors who I've noted for two or more performances, in order to determine the finest CHARACTER actresses of all time; the list further serves as a guide to the notable career highs each actor has contributed.
