  1. Great list, Dean. I hope this meme gets going quickly, because I'm so anxious to read the responses of others. The interesting thing about listing favorite actors is, I think, that there will be so many overlaps (Newman, Stewart, Fonda, et al) that it'll be those 5-to-8 spots in the periphery where the really interesting names are going to come in. That said, great pick with Groucho Marx!

  2. Damn you, Dean. I'll definitely be up for this meme, but now I have to figure out where to fit it in as I'm racing to cover the remaining films I need to survey in anticipation of my "top 10 of 2008" list.

But, I'm just kidding, I look forward to this one.

  3. Hi! Dean,
When half the "world" is asleep!..."The Dame" is usually up at "nite"...perusing the happening in the blog world!...
    Dean,
    Why thank-you! for the tag!...
I will probably have my list posted
by Sunday!...I think that your list of 20 Favorite Actors, is as usual "outstanding"...I like the fact, that some of the the actors that you chosen are from the "classic era" and some are "contemporary." ...Well balanced!...(Dean said,"incredible, to say the least runners-up")...Incredible indeed!...I like your choices for "runners-up" too!...very "interesting!"

Btw, I love that "unusual" pix of actor Johnny Depp in a black luminous "jacket!"...Oh! I hope not to become a "splogger" Definition of a splogger: A blogger whom "steal" other bloggers "unusual" pix!...of actor Johnny Depp in a black luminous jacket!

    "The Dame"

  4. Damn, I was afraid of this. All right, I'll bet but just to warn you, I have yet another variation on this meme which I may or may not tackle first. When I do, consider yourself tagged (sweet revenge...)

Nice to see Mitchell on there.
